Growth of the Ames ADM Lab
When I started, the lab had 1 Prusa XL and several MK3s with long turnaround times. Today, the lab operates 9 Prusa XLs with significantly reduced lead times and increased manufacturing capacity. I contributed through production support, printer maintenance, process improvements, and machine installations.
My work spanned engineering, prototyping, production manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives. I operated 13 additive systems across FDM, SLA, SLS, continuous fiber, and metal technologies.

Designed and fabricated master molds for clone trooper helmets. Combined traditional sculpting with modern additive manufacturing to create production-ready tooling.
GreenScale3D โ $40K Revenue
Founded and operated a 3D printing product business. Designed, manufactured, and shipped over 2,000 units. Grew revenue from $0 to $40,000 through product design and production optimization.
Mixing Ball Redesign
Led in-house redesign of a purchased consumable for the Ames paint line. Performed material and machine selection, conducted testing and validation, and brought production in-house โ reducing supplier dependence and failure rates while saving ~$10,000 annually.
Dynamic Cutaways & Demonstrations
Created dynamic cutaway models including Delta Cutaway, GR3 Dynamic Cutaway, MP1MV Display Model, and DDP Cutaway. Improved product visualization, supported customer demonstrations, and assisted sales and marketing efforts.
Equipment Shield
Developed a safer method for equipment operation through DFAM design, material selection, and functional testing. Enhanced equipment safety while demonstrating additive manufacturing's ability to solve facility challenges.
ADM Lab Scale Model
Developed a detailed scale model of the Additive Design and Manufacturing Lab to showcase equipment layout, workflow optimization, and lab expansion planning for stakeholders.
